The Harris County Sheriff's Office said Samuel Everrett Williams II entered the PNC Bank in the 14000 block of Cypress Rosehill on Oct. 23 and demanded money from a teller. Deputies said Williams then threatened to pull out a gun and open fire inside the bank.
HCSO said Williams fled after the teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.
The sheriff's office said they worked with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to gather surveillance video from nearby businesses. Investigators said they used the footage to identify a white Ford Crown Victoria that Williams used to arrive and flee the area.
HCSO said detectives traced the vehicle to a Hockley home, where they identified Williams as the suspect and arrested him on Oct. 28.
According to investigators, Williams was on parole until 2032 for his previous bank robbery conviction.
Law enforcement said Williams was booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with robbery by threat, a second-degree felony.
