Mike Tyson is revealing the big favor Sean "Diddy" Combs asked of him from behind bars.

During a Thursday, Oct. 8, appearance on SiriusXM’s "Andy Cohen Live," the former boxer, 60, opened up about the status of his friendship with the disgraced music mogul, who is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence for his July 2025 sex-crimes conviction.

"I'm friendly with Puff," Tyson said, referring to Combs by one of his many stage names. Host Andy Cohen then asked, "Were you surprised by what happened with him?"

"Listen, I was surprised that they went through so many lengths to get him," the athlete replied. "They used a 110-year-old rule to get him – that case 110 years ago, but they used it to get him. Can you imagine that?"

Combs was accused of leading a criminal enterprise where he coerced victims into participating in sex parties, known as "freak offs," often involving travel across state and international boundaries. His two-month trial last year ended in a mixed verdict.

While the jury acquitted him of trafficking and racketeering charges, they found him guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, citing his violation of the 1910 Mann Act, which criminalizes the transport of “any woman or girl for the purpose of prostitution or debauchery, or for any other immoral purpose.”

Combs has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct and has been trying to appeal his conviction since the case concluded.

Tyson, who has voiced his support for Combs in the past, revealed on "Andy Cohen Live" that he and the rapper have been in touch during his incarceration.

"I spoke with him once on the phone," Tyson revealed. "He wanted me to give a letter to the president."

"And did you give a letter to the president from him?" Cohen asked, to which Tyson confirmed, "I did what he told me to do, yeah."

In January, President Donald Trump said he received a letter from Combs asking for a pardon, which could be the letter Tyson delivered, but he said he would not grant the request.

Trump previously addressed the conviction in an August 2025 interview with Newsmax, saying, "I was very friendly with him. I got along with him great."

"[He] seemed like a nice guy," Trump continued. "I didn't know him well, but when I ran for office he was very hostile."

Combs, who still faces upward of 70 civil lawsuits nationwide, remains behind bars at New Jersey's FCI Fort Dix. His release date has moved multiple times, most recently being pushed back from Jan. 21, 2028, to March 2, 2028, after an NBC News report alleging the hip-hop producer has fellow inmates cook and clean for him, give him massages, and has access to outside alcohol and a cellphone, which are considered contraband.
