Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2-focused Finnish esports organization ENCE is shautting down operations and declaring bankruptcy after 13 years of operation.

This comes directly from the ENCE organization, who posted of its closure on its social media.

ENCE's main focus was its Counter-Strike teams, which were performing strongly as recently as October 2024, where its CS2 squad won the Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 competition against Norwegian team HEROIC and brought home approximately $100,000 USD. However, it has been a long time since that victory, and revenue was said to have fallen 79 percent for ENCE over the course of the last two years, as reported by the Esports Observer.

ENCE has not said what will happen to its players, coaches, and staff, or if they are all simply free agents now. As we watch for any further details, stay tuned to the Esports topic for updates.
